Just updated my iPad to version 4.2 and like it so far. Not sure how to create folders for apps yet, but the multitasking alone is awesome! You can finally keep an ssh session (with iSSH) open while you switch over to the web, etc… should also be good for aim or irc… though I haven’t tested it out yet.. Will post an update in a few days. One thing I don’t like about it is the screen lock is now a mute button… grrrr.
By using the FirewireGuid line in the iPod’s SysInfo file (see the 160gb ipod article) the just-released 4th gen nano (MB735LL/A – pink 4th gen nano) syncs fine with Linux.

But then you umount it and your iPod states it has 0 songs.
You don’t believe it though and you scroll around to see where all your songs went – maybe in videos? No, they’re on there, but the iPod won’t tell you about them until you do one magical thing… tell Linux what your firewire guid is…

Yeah, i’m into Lost. I can’t wait for the next Thursday to come around and see what happens (erm.. or doesn’t happen..) next – and what questions i’ll have until next week’s episode. So if there’s something about Lost that I haven’t seen yet, i’d like to see it!
I also like my ipod. There’s still room on it so I decided this evening to find Lost’s Missing Pieces episodes (13 of em) and put em into itunes/ipod. The Lost Missing Pieces episodes were ‘Mobisodes’ that Verizon wireless customers got on their phones each monday night for 13 weeks up to the first episode of season 4 (what we’re in now). Each mobisode was then available a day later on abc.com to view.

Like anyone I like to get the most out of something expensive I buy or put lots of time into. I have a 160gb ipod classic that supports lyrics (if you have em loaded in itunes). I’ve been looking for a good/easy way to get lyrics imported into itunes so they xfer over on to my ipod and found one called the ‘iTunes Lyrics Importer’ strangely enough. I figured i’d give it a shot!
