We’re using XenServer for virtualization at work – and we decided recently that it’d be a great idea to start up a XenServer Forum! Check it out @ http://XenServerForum.com
Our pets live as part of our family. We created this site as a way to show off and remember them. It will ‘showcase’ pets we’ve had in the past as well as current pets. Check it out @ KennedyPets.com!
Mystic Akira Coldstream was the best dog anyone would have ever wanted. She was born June 26th, 1996 and died October 16th, 2009.
Bobbi and I adopted her from a breeder here in PA back in 1996. She was great with all three kids, her pal Jinx (our German Shephard), and even let our 3 cats run around unharmed.
RIP Mystic. We miss you.
I’ve started, run, and eventually sold Internet community sites. I never intended to sell them, but as they got more popular they were more difficult to find the time to run unless I took them over as my full-time job.
The longest running site we had was PWCToday.com. It is a PWC/Jetski community website that we (my wife and I) started in June of 2000. Five years later we found that we had to make a choice of either me quitting my regular job or selling the site. It had grown so large that it needed more time than we had hobby-wise to put into it.
It was and still is the most popular jetski website on the Internet! That’s a great sign from a website – meaning that you could depend on it for daily income and replace your current job with something that you’re excited about! We took the low road and sold it to a company that was in the industry. I was itching to try my hand at other things after seeing how well we did with that one!
Since I can’t seem to get it to format right, i’ve uploaded the PDF file for this article – it’s pretty long…
Set up a simple automated wordpress site! I recently re-did a bunch of my domain names – and planning to do more of the ones I have parked…
By using some Google rss feeds and the wordpress plugin ‘feedwordpress’ I was able to set these up to run automagicly – then I set up 3 adsense spots to get some extra money coming my way instead of my registrar’s way.. this way i’m actually running (at this point) 7 current news sites with absolutely no input from myself.
When the google spider finally gets around to finding them it’ll grab all the current headlines – which is what most people will be searching for in the first place.. and these sites will hopefully place higher up in the search results.
It all sounds like a good idea – let’s see how it pans out!
