Toshiba’s 1.8 inch 160gb MK1626GCB drive (Used in iPod Classic)

September 8th, 2007 No comments

Toshiba has released info on their brand new 1.8″ 160GB MK1626GCB ‘internal’ hard drive that Apple likely uses in their newly released iPod Classic in the 160gb flavor.

There are people on eBay saying that this drive will fit in the older iPod Video models – 60 and 80 gig versions.  It will be interesting to see if that is true!

Read a press release on the drive here: Toshiba.com

How to start and maintain an Internet community website

August 19th, 2007 No comments

NOTE: Buy this e-book on eBay:  Here

I wrote this guide after starting and maintaining (and later selling) the most popular Jetski site in the world.  I take you from square one and show you the right path to take to create a popular Internet community website featuring news and forums.

Items covered:

- Picking a topic for your site
- Finding good Internet hosting
- The right software package for news/forums
- The right software package for your advertising
- How to get the word out
- Where to get news when you’ve run out of things to post
- How to get advertisers on your site
- How to maintain the site once it is up and running

This e-book shows you how to go from nothing to having your own Internet community site featuring news and forums – along with how to get the advertisers to pay for the hosting, travel, and any other expenses you will have.  I have followed these steps and created popular web sites.  You will need to work hard at first, then things will come easier and you can watch as your site grows.

You won’t get rich quick with a community web site – and again, it takes time on your part… but not much money if you do it right.

I’ll back this up – if you need further assistance afterwards, my personal email address is on the last page of the e-book.  Please contact me with any questions.

The ever-popular iPhone (repost from old site)

July 14th, 2007 No comments

If you know me, you know i’m never without my ipod. It’s the 60gig video model and it’s got about 1gig free space with 9800 songs on it. There are sites out there that sell 100gig drives for the 60/80gig models which I might look into sometime in the future, but no way would I replace my ipod with a 4gig or 8gig iphone! What was apple thinking putting such small drives in these things?? I’m in the process of adding more songs to my collection, not downsizing so I can be hip with the new iphone!

Some people will argue that it’s not meant to replace your ipod but a way you can bring some of your favorite songs with you – by combining a phone with it. They sold a lot, but the people who bought them will likely go back to their treos and blackberries for the mobile office work capabilities they have and selling their iphones on craigslist and ebay. Give ‘em more drive space and they’ll stick around for the long haul for the purpose they were built for – mark my words.

When’s that 200gig drive coming out for ipods? :)
