If you know me, you know i’m never without my ipod. It’s the 60gig video model and it’s got about 1gig free space with 9800 songs on it. There are sites out there that sell 100gig drives for the 60/80gig models which I might look into sometime in the future, but no way would I replace my ipod with a 4gig or 8gig iphone! What was apple thinking putting such small drives in these things?? I’m in the process of adding more songs to my collection, not downsizing so I can be hip with the new iphone!
Some people will argue that it’s not meant to replace your ipod but a way you can bring some of your favorite songs with you – by combining a phone with it. They sold a lot, but the people who bought them will likely go back to their treos and blackberries for the mobile office work capabilities they have and selling their iphones on craigslist and ebay. Give ‘em more drive space and they’ll stick around for the long haul for the purpose they were built for – mark my words.
When’s that 200gig drive coming out for ipods?
